Hard Drive size scam
So I bought Seagate FreeAgent Pro "740GB" the other day to back up all my photo and other data for $199.95 at Costco. It was pretty good deal, I thought, for 740GB, and I have had a good experience with all Seagate drive, so I didn’t think twice selecting its product.
Everything was easy to install except for Autobackup software they supplied. Since I wasn’t planning on using it, I didn’t care much. After backing up all my photo, I wanted to check how much space left.
Wait a minute..
698GB??? This is a marketing scam/bullshit. How can people in right mind say 750,153,728,000 bytes to 750GB??? Hello? I really hate this. 1000 = 1K does not work with bytes, and marketing people might think everyone using this piece of hardware are computer illiterate.
Other than this, I am pretty happy with the hard drive.

Hyung, was your house okay?
Hope your house didn’t get any water damage.
My garage was flooded since last night throughout this afternoon. I had to scoop out the water with bucket to control the water level for every 30mins or so; obvisouly didn’t go work today, yey
Whoever the person who originally designed the driveway/drainage must get spanked hard…
I’m going to borrow concrete grinder from homedepot and make the proper water drainage soon than later. Also the one of the post got water damaged due to the water puddle, needs to be replaced with the treated wood post.
Oh well, I guess it wasn’t too bad compare to other houses in lower lands area, where the sewer backup on toilet & everywhere…. scary…

Holy shit.. really?
I didn’t see any water damage, but I didn’t look hard enough. Maybe I should check out tonight.
However, I think my house and garage are located at the highest spot of the entire property, so I don’t think there is any, but I should still check.
